Step into the quiet world of Brimblewood and create your very own 'Betty the Bee'!

This comprehensive digital tutorial will gently guide you through every step of making this friendly little bee, from the first roll of wool to her final, sweet smile.

Perfect for beginners, Betty is a simple and joyful project that is small enough to perch on a fingertip once finished.

I hope making this little character brings you a moment of quiet joy.

What's Inside?

This is a detailed, 15-page PDF tutorial filled with clear, high-quality photographs for every stage of the process. We'll cover shaping the body, creating tiny wings, adding stripes, and stitching her charming face.

To make your Betty the Bee, you will need:

  • Wool Roving: Carded Corriedale is lovely to work with, but any felting wool will do.
    • You'll need:
    • Yellow (for the body)
    • Blue (for the wings)
    • Black (for the stripes and stinger)
  • Felting Needles: A 36G needle for shaping and a 38G for details works well (I use triangular).
  • Felting Mat: A foam or wool mat to work on. (A free tutorial to make your own is also available in my shop!)
  • Tiny Black Beads: 2mm onyx beads are perfect for her eyes.
  • Black Thread & a Sewing Needle: For stitching on her eyes and adding her smile.
  • Scissors

Please Note: This is a digital download only. You will not receive any physical materials. The tutorial is written in English. The PDF will become available to you after checkout, and also via email.

To ensure the size guide on page 2 is accurate, please print the document on A4 paper, though the size guide isn't essential to making Betty, and neither is printing.

With warmest thanks, and a little wing-wave from Betty.
