Meet the Woodlanders

Hidden deep within the heart of Brimblewood lives a gentle community of creatures, each with their own story to tell. From cozy burrows to patchwork tents, these woodlanders share their days fixing things, finding adventures, and looking out for one another.

Get to know the characters who bring this miniature world to life - and perhaps find a kindred spirit among them.

Frank the Fox

Frank is thoughtful, steady, and creative. He’s the official sign-painter of Brimblewood, known for his beautifully lettered wooden signs that guide wanderers through the woods. Frank adores his partner Flick and their curious little cub, Flora. He’s the kind of fox who listens more than he talks, but when he speaks, it’s always something worth hearing.

Flick the Fox

Flick is clever, quick-witted, and quietly brave - the sort of fox who always knows where to find a shortcut home, or how to cheer someone up with a perfectly timed joke. She’s Frank’s partner and best friend, and together they look out for their little cub, Flora.

Bryn the Bear

Bryn is gentle, dependable, and endlessly patient - the kind of bear who always carries extra snacks and knows how to build the best den from branches and moss. He’s happiest when the kettle’s on and everyone’s safe and warm. He’s Betsy’s partner and Benjamin’s proud father, and he’ll do anything to keep their little family cosy and cared for.

Betsy the Bear

Betsy is calm, steady, and endlessly kind - the sort of bear who always knows how to make you feel at home. She bakes the best apple crumble in Brimblewood and gives the warmest hugs. She’s Bryn’s partner and Benjamin’s mum, and her door is always open to a friend in need.

Doran the Dog

Doran is thoughtful, gentle, and wise - the sort of dog who notices the things others miss. He lives in a cosy shepherd’s hut and keeps a careful watch over The Lantern Bridge. When something’s troubling them, the Woodlanders often find their way to Doran - he always knows just what to say, or when to simply sit beside them in silence.

Rhubarb the Red Squirrel

Rhubarb is the Brimblewood postie – a cheerful little squirrel with a spring in her step and a satchel full of letters. She takes her job very seriously (even if she occasionally gets a bit distracted by shiny things or snack breaks). Everyone lights up when they see Rhubarb coming down the path - delivering post and a little joy.

Rosie the Rabbit

Rosie lives in a charming mezzanine flat above the Brimblewood library, which is tucked snugly inside her burrow. Gentle and thoughtful, she always knows just the right book to recommend - especially if you’re feeling a bit lost or in need of a comforting tale.

Bill the Badger

In his cosy sett, Bill can usually be found tinkering with tools or mending something useful. He’s the quiet, dependable sort - the one the other Woodlanders turn to when something’s broken or needs a clever fix. There’s always the scent of pine shavings and oil in the air, and a project on the go.

Selma the Sheep

With her patchwork tent pitched in a new spot every week, Selma is always off on a curious adventure. She has a kind heart, a rucksack full of maps, and a talent for turning up exactly when someone needs a friend.
