The Aoyama Decarbo Teddy Tin

The Aoyama Decarbo Teddy Tin

A little while back, I was contacted by a lovely Japanese company called Aoyama Decarbo. They make gluten-free, plant-based sweet treats in beautifully designed tins - and they asked if I’d like to collaborate on a new one.

Their latest design, the Teddy Tin, features a couple of my Woodlanders on the front and will be available in select shops in Japan, with worldwide shipping from their online store.

In the summer, a few of the lovely Aoyama Decarbo team actually visited me here on the Isle of Wight - something I never expected when I started felting. It was such a lovely visit, and I’ll always be grateful for the care they put into every part of this collaboration.

The tins launched in person at Isetan in Shinjuku and sold out on the first day, which is incredible. Online sales start at 12 noon JST on September 28th (that’s 4am BST), and they’ll show as ‘sold out’ until then.

If you’re just starting your own handmade business, I hope this gives you a bit of a boost. You never know who might find your work - or where it might take you.

Update: The tins can now be purchased through this link.
